A visitor from another planet might think that our Earth is a world of arthropods, those numerous ants, beetles, spiders that live alongside us. Elegant, dignified, self possessed, they continue on their way irrespective of us. In these miniature paintings made with lacquer and colored pencil, I emphasize what I find most striking about them.
